Jason and I took very little time off of work to move. When it was all said and done we were glad that we did things the way that we did because Jason still has some vacation time left for the summer to enjoy with his family. However, in the process of moving, it was extremely difficult and exhausting with a little one and with both of us working, and also moving things slowly. We moved everything ourselves except for the large pieces of furniture. It was a lot of work but it saved us a lot of money. On Moving day, I went to work because we had a half day. Luckily Jason took some pictures for me so I could see the old house empty. We will go back and do a walk through before we close but the house is empty!
Interestingly enough, the day we moved was the day of a huge rain storm and a massive flood. Jason had to call our new neighbors because all of the roads to our new house were closed getting into Woodsboro. We were afraid we wouldn't be able to get the truck to the new house. Luckily we were able to get an alternate route and everything worked out fine.
