Jedd and Lexx get married!!!!

This weekend our friends Jedd and Lexx got married!!! We are so excited for them. Their wedding was in Frackville, PA. They had their reception at an old beautiful country inn. They did a fall theme and had sunflowers and orange and brown flowers. It was lovely and we all had an awesome time.

House Updates

Now that we are a little more settled, we have been doing a bit more around the house. We have painted some rooms, gotten some other furniture, I made some window treatments, and we've made some other improvements. Some things are still a work in progress, but we're getting there slowly.

This is the Arehart/Trueblood family wall that goes up our main staircase.
When my best friend Bekah moved to China, we got her iron bed. This room is still a work in progress. I am making decorator pillows that go with the curtains and it's pretty bare for now. But.....there's a bed in our second guest room now so more of you can come visit:)
This is our room. We painted it green and got bedding. We LOVE it!

Labor Day Weekend

This weekend, Jason and I went to Roanoke to visit Cam, Mike, Debbie, and Pete. We went to Hillsville, which is America's largest Art, craft, and antique festival. This is an event that has to be taken in small doses considering that the vendors go for over 4 miles and there are 500,000 people there over the 2 days. We had a great weekend, and Cam and Mike's new twin girls Kendall and Carly are beautiful and oh so tiny. We are so happy for them.
Here is a picture of a very small portion of the craziness at Hillsville
More madness.

VALHALLA VINEYARDS
Valhalla Vineyards. This is one of the most beautiful vineyards I have every been to. The tasting room is very small but it is sitting on a cliff overlooking the entire Roanoke Valley.
The view at Valhalla.
On our way home we stopped to visit some of my dad's family, Doris and Kerry Camper. They breed champion Boxers, so Jason and I did a little dog shopping for the future. We are trying to look at different kinds of dogs and see what we want, hopefully for April or May of 2010. We loved their Boxers, they were wonderful dogs.

My Music Room

I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!! Last week I started my music job at both elementary schools and I love it. I am teaching K-3 at Bollman Bridge and K-5 at Waverly. My children are so sweet, smart, and well behaved. They love music class, and most of them play a string instrument or a band instrument as well. I am very spoiled!!!! Now that they have gotten my schedule finalized and I know what I'm working with, I have about 400 new names to learn, which is a lot. Here are some pictures of my classroom at Waverly in Ellicott City. This is th front of the room and there are xylophones, bass, sop, and alto metalophones, and glocks in the cases for the kids to play. These are all of the percussion instruments These are the risers where the kids sit, and there are some very fun music monsters on the wall:) My Desk This is the office area and music filing. We also have an entire set of Authentic West African drums, which the kids love.
